March for Women's Lives, Washington DC. Black Women's Health Imperative, National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, NARAL Pro-Choice America, the Fund for the Feminist Majority, and the National Organization for Women (NOW) are organizing the largest march for women in our nation's history. For more information go to www.marchforchoice.org or call 202-349-3838.

Why are we marching? More than 1,000 women's rights, civil rights and health care organizations are sending a wake-up call that women's health and reproductive rights are under attack. The message is Women-not the government should have the right to make the most deeply personal decisions about our health and our lives.

Where in DC? Assemble at the Lincoln Memorial at 10 a.m. Step-off at Noon. Rally on National Mall from 1-4 p.m.

Calling All Volunteers: The march still needs thousands of dedicated volunteers to perform a wide variety of tasks. Please Volunteer if you can pitch in—there is a job for everyone, regardless of age or ability. Hourly briefing sessions for NOW volunteers will take place at the NOW Action Center on Friday, April 23, and Saturday, April 24, between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additionally, more volunteer briefings and trainings will take place at the D.C. Armory (Stadium/Armory Metro stop on the Orange and Blue lines) in two-hour intervals on Saturday between from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Friends, Entertainment, Fun! Don't miss the opportunity to meet up with old friends and make new ones at the Official March for Women's Lives Kick-Off Celebration on April 24! Last Call for Delegations: Friday, April 16, is the last day to register and update your delegation information on the Coalition Web Site Please make sure that your group's information, especially the number of people who require alternate transportation and seating, is up-to-date.

Special Needs Update: On the day of the March, trolleys for those who cannot negotiate the two-mile March route will begin boarding at 11 a.m. in front of the National Museum of American History (Federal Triangle Metro stop on the Blue and Orange lines) on Madison Drive NW between 12th and 14th Streets. If you are part of a delegation and require alternate March transportation or seating, make sure your leader has made a reservation for you. If you're not part of a delegation, please contact the March Office immediately to make a reservation. Due to space limitations, we ask that reservations be made only for those who really need them. Additionally, if you are deaf or hard of hearing, please contact Lin Galib lgalib@marchforwomen.org so accommodations can be made.

Media Registration: Need media credentials? Complete This Form by Friday, April 16.

More Helpful Hints:Although food vendors will be present at the March, their numbers may be limited, so it's a very good idea to bring food and drink. Large picnic-size coolers are not allowed on the National Mall, but personal handheld coolers are fine, along with backpacks and purses. Additionally, the weather in Washington varies this time of year, so it's a good idea to bring an umbrella and sunscreen, along with layers of clothes. It could be chilly in the morning and very warm in the afternoon! As the day of the March approaches, check March FAQs for directions and more useful information.
