Money from the fund may be awarded for projects and/or events that inform and educate the public about the needs of women in Ohio and/or to facilitate communication among groups in the state concerned with the quality of women’s lives. Each event and/or project shall include an acknowledgment of funding by the Janet Orttung-Morrow Fund of Ohio Women, Inc.

Awards may be in one of the following forms:

A. A grant

B. A loan that constitutes seed money for projects/events.

Applications for a grant and/or loan shall include a proposed budget and meet the following criteria:

A. The applicant is a nonprofit organization holding 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service.

B. The project and/or program will substantially advance the purpose stated above.

C. The applicant demonstrates a good faith effort to obtain other sources of funding; The primary focus of the project and/or program is other than fundraising;

At the conclusion of the event or project, each awardee shall submit a final report to the Board within forty-five (45) days. The Board may also require interim reports form the awardee.

8. Describe efforts to obtain other sources of funding.

9. Describe the audience to which the program is aimed.

10. List all presenters, researchers, and facilitators.

11. Describe plans to publicize the project.

12. Include the proposed budget for the project.

13. Describe plans for repaying the loan.

14. Describe your ability to provide a final report to the Board within 45 days after the conclusion of the event or project, and if requested, to provide interim reports.

15. Describe plans for incorporating an acknowledgement of funding from the Janet Orttung-Morrow Fund into the project or program.
