Mission Statement: The League of Women Voters of Ohio, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

Position Statements: After intensive study and member consensus, the League takes positions on statewide public policy issues in the areas of government, social policy, and the environment. The League acts on these policies by lobbying and presenting testimony before the General Assembly and other policymaking bodies.
