* Provides resource information and referral services to victims of sex discrimination, their
   families and advocates to assit them.
* Provides advocacy and support services to victims of discrimination and domestic violence.
* Supports efforts of legal counsel representing victims and provide links to state and/or
   national organizations focused on victim advocacy.
* Becomes involved with precedent setting legal cases in terms of filing amicus
   (friend of the court) briefs.

How Ohio NOW Education and Legal Fund Functions

* Monitors State and Federal courts to determine which cases pending could have an impact
   on the legal rights of women and girls for amicus brief filing consideration.
* Communicates and networks regularly with members of the legal profession across the
   state to be better able to provide resource information.
* Monitors State and Federal legislation to determine which bills have the greatest impact on
   women and girls so members can provide educational materials to legislators
   and create public awareness.
* Collaborates with a variety of statewide organizations that focus on women's and family issues.
* Participates with statewide public policy entities via board representation or advisory opinions.
